What type of lighting fixtures should be used for followspot applications?
We recommend using modern lighting fixtures equipped with a tracking mode.
What area does KAPTA cover?
Installation charts are available in the Resources section to help estimate the coverage area at a given height. When suspended at a height of between 5 and 8 metres, KAPTA covers an area of approximately 10 metres wide by 8 metres deep.
Does K SYSTEM directly control lighting fixtures?
K SYSTEM transmits position and/or control data to third-party systems, such as lighting consoles. The console then uses this information to calculate and send the DMX values needed for target tracking.
What is the difference between K SYSTEM Flow, Sense, and Custom?
K SYSTEM Flow is a simple and affordable manual tracking solution, K SYSTEM Sense offers automated AI tracking out of the box, while K SYSTEM Custom enables the development of tailor-made solutions incorporating our vision and spatial intelligence technology.
Does K SYSTEM track objects?
Our system has been primarily designed to track people. However, object tracking can be achieved manually or through the use of beacons, depending on the K SYSTEM solution being used.
K SYSTEM Sense is designed for fully automated people tracking using computer vision and artificial intelligence. It naturally detects and tracks individuals within a space without requiring them to wear any device.
K SYSTEM Flow is a manual tracking solution that allows an operator to control and manage the tracking of a target, whether it is a person or an object, according to the specific needs of the application.
K SYSTEM Beakon is based on the use of beacons that can be attached to both people and objects. This approach enables the precise identification and tracking of any target equipped with a beacon.
By combining these complementary technologies, K SYSTEM provides the most suitable tracking solution for every environment and every type of experience.
Does K SYSTEM recognize people?
K SYSTEM will maintain a person's identity as long as they are visible.
If they leave the field of view, their identity will need to be reassigned to their target.
This can be done manually or automatically.
How does the AI work within K SYSTEM?
K SYSTEM's AI has been trained through deep learning by analyzing hundreds of hours of relevant stage situations.
Is privacy preserved?
Currently, the camera resolution does not allow for sufficient zooming to recognize a face. Furthermore, unless the user decides otherwise for maintenance operations, the video streams analyzed by the system are not accessible online.
What precision does the system offer?
The precision of a tracking system cannot be summarized by a single value, as it varies depending on the environment, configuration, and subject's movements. In standard stage applications, Naostage generally achieves tracking accuracy of less than 10 cm around the performer's center of mass, enabling reliable control of lighting, media, and automated systems.
What happens if a costume is not detected or recognized by the system?
We have the option to overtrain the system to integrate the recognition of a specific costume into our dataset.
Is K SYSTEM compatible with tags?
Thanks to its PSN input, K SYSTEM is compatible with all existing tag and beacon systems. Naostage offers its own Beakon system as an option.
Does K SYSTEM allow for vertical axis tracking?
K SYSTEM tracks along the Z-axis. This can be deactivated if needed.
How long does it take to install K SYSTEM?
K SYSTEM can be installed in 20 minutes
What are the network constraints for connecting Kapta to Kore?
We recommend reserving 1 Gbps of bandwidth. Otherwise, standard network management rules apply.
